Huge Congrats go to Analog Team Rider Kamalei Alexander on winning the 2nd stop of the Nixon WTA(winner takes all) in Tahiti recently. The award is for the Heaviest wave for the entire event, trials to final. Though Kamalei didn't make it to the main event, his quarter final finish was his best finish to date in Tahiti.
Kamalei won the title with a huge backside barrel draining all the way across the reef and spitting him into the channel.
Kamalei joins previous WTA Teahupoo winner Bobby Martinez(2009), Ryan Hipwood (2008), and Manoa Drollet(2007).
Kamalei was awarded a Nixon watch valued at over $10,000 USD with a custom engraved caseback, swiss tide movement and ruby's at each hour marker.
